Three quick rules for scope creep
- Answer the same day, kindly. A fast, friendly "happy to, here's what it involves" lands better than a late "that's not in the contract".
- Name the extra work in the client's own words and quote it on its own, so the original price stays clear.
- Get a written "yes" before you start, and invoice the extra separately. If it goes unpaid, the reminder writer handles that.
